Biscuit Acres Dog Park
At Hunter Park In South Tulsa
Biscuit Acres Dog Park was built by the Southside Rotary Club with @ $100,000 of tax-deductible donations to the Southside Rotary Foundation. Biscuit Acres opened to pooches and their owners on June 6, 2009. Since opening, the park has provided thousands of hours of play for dogs, and an outdoor sanctuary for their owners.
While the park flourishes and gains users every weekend, Biscuit Acres has been a labor of love for some people that work hard behind the scenes to ensure the park goers and their pet’s enjoyment. Biscuit Acres is managed, maintained and enhanced by the Biscuit Acres Volunteer Association (BAVA) in collaboration with the City of Tulsa Parks and Recreation Department.
BAVA is a 501c3 organization that provides hundreds of hours of service annually to the dog park by watering, spreading mulch, filling holes, collecting and bagging trash and “poop”, painting, repairing the fence, restoring grass, rounding up recycled plastic bags and providing fund raising and park beautification projects such as tree planting, table and bench assembly, memory plaques, shade sails, patios, pet fountains and much more! The City of Tulsa partners with BAVA to provide mowing, edging, water and trash pick-up services.
