About Biscuit Acres Bark Park

Biscuit Acres Still Currenty Closed.

We will remain closed until the grass has a chance to be totally restored and the City finishes its drainage improvement projects before we reopen. The City just completed the large dog water station drain repair, the BA grass has been “plugged” by a donation from Easton Sod Farm and the large drain surface culvert in the small dog park will not be completed by the City until the end of summer if not earlier.

The grass has about 60 more days of growing season so it may not be ready for traffic the rest of the year. We can’t afford to risk having visitor traffic set the grass back to a condition that during the winter we experience winter grass kill again. We raised and spent $23,000 on a new sprinkling system for the grass and to justify this investment we need total grass coverage at Biscuit Acres. Total grass coverage means a more enjoyable and useable park for all visitors. We are working closely with the City’s grass management department to do the right thing for long term park use.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.
